January 2017 - Cedar move into Phase 2 of major Oracle Cloud project at leading law firm

Cedar is delighted to have been the first ever UK partner to successfully implement Oracle Social Sourcing and Cloud Recruiting.

In partnership with this leading London lawfirm, Cedar are currently working on a phased implementation of the Taleo Enterprise Edition (TEE) Recruiting, Taleo Social Sourcing (TSS) and Onboarding (Transitions) Modules. Phase 1 of the project successfully went live in September 2016 with the implementation of the Taleo Recruiting Module and Taleo Social Sourcing (TSS).

The firm took the decision to replace their PeopleSoft recruiting solution with Taleo last year and during this phase and future phases will transform recruiting, benefitting from:

  • Improved candidate experience aligned to the new corporate brand/website.
  • Category landing pages supporting distinct business functions (Experienced Lawyers, Business Services)
  • Internal referral/job sharing via social media promoting greater direct sourcing.
  • Significant administrative efficiencies around candidate communications.
  • Process compliance as a result of audited approval processes.
  • An easily searchable pool of talent.
  • Presceening content enabling more efficient shortlisting.
  • Offers extended electronically through eOffer.
  • Mobile enabled applications.
  • Bidrectional integration with PeopleSoft.
  • The provision of key recruiting MI to the business.
  • Consistent, efficient, automated onboarding processes.
Phase 2
In order to further improve the candidate and employee experience in Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud (formerly Taleo), the client in continued partnership with Cedar has now embarked on Phase 2 of the project to implement and/or refine some functionality and technical enhancements that were not part of Phase 1. Also included in Phase 2 is the implementation of Onboarding (Transitions).

We are currently coming to the end of Design for Phase 2. For Onboarding (Transitions) we have run a number of detailed design workshops to map the desired OnBoarding Process and related New Hire Integrations that will be set up between Taleo and PeopleSoft.

Once implemented (Transitions) will bring a number of benefits to the organisation, including the following:

  • Improved process efficiency – Ability to track real-time status of assigned onboarding tasks via Recruiter Dashboard

  • Improved onboarding experience and better engagement with New Hire via customised New Hire Portal

  • Ability to automatically send new hire information from Taleo to PeopleSoft via Seamless Integration

  • Reduction in paperwork by creating, storing, and managing all onboarding forms electronically.
